Hitachi Construction Machinery UK KTM Press Release - Maxxis British Motocross Championship, Whitby 29 June – Whitby, Yorkshire – Maxxis British Motocross Championship, Round 5 It was up to Mel Pocock and Ben Watson to fly the team colours in the MX2 class, while Shaun Simpson and Josh Spinks continue their presence in the bigger MX1 class. Mel got racing underway with a spectacular holeshot in the first race, but lost several places to end in third. The second race saw Mel run in second for the majority of the race before again having to concede places in the closing laps of the race to end fourth.
